PROCESO DE REMOCION DE NUTRIENTES (NITROGENO Y FOSFORO) CON LECHO FIJO SUMERGIDO EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE AGUAS RESIDUALES
PROCESS FOR THE REMOVAL OF NUTRIENTS (NITROGEN AND PHOSPHORUS) WITH A FIXED BED SUBMERGED IN THE TREATMENT OF OBJECTIVE WASTEWATER: To develop an efficient and compact system for the biological treatment of wastewater, focused on the integrated removal of nitrogen and phosphorus, complying with environmental standards for safe reuse or discharge. Innovative Design: 1. Downstream-Ascending Flow Reactors: ® Using thermoformed PVC modules as a support for microbial biofilms, with high surface-to-volume ratio. The alternating flow (down-top) is controlled by internal divisions which direct the water through the plastic medium, optimising contact with the biomass and creating differentiated redox zones: or anoxic zone: denitrification and partial capture of phosphorus by Pseudomonas and PAO's (Phosphorus Accumulating Organisms, facultative phosphorus accumulating organisms). O Anaerobic Zone: Capture of phosphorus by PAO's bacteria (Phosphorus Accumulating Organisms, Organisms Accumulating Phosphorus). O Zona aerobica: Nitrificacion (Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter) and storage of polyphosphates by PAO's. Operational Dynamics: or Controlled Recirculation: Mixed liquor is recirculated between zones to maximize microbial activity. Biosolids purge or purge: funnels (with inclination between 25° and 35° C.) in funds, similar to Imhoff tanks, allow muds to be removed by hydraulic thrust. Efficient aeration: fine bubble air diffusers in the aerobic zone maintain dissolved oxygen (2-4 mg/L) and promote self-cleaning of the support. Key Processes: ® Anaerobic cycle: Release of 8-12 mg/L phosphorus in the absence of oxygen. -Anoxic cycle: Reduction of nitrates to N2 and recovery of 40% of the released phosphorus. AEROBIC CYCLE: Storage of 15-20 mg PO4Â3? BIOMASS/G of biomass and oxidation of organic matter/nitrogen. Competitive Advantages:?? Efficiency: Removes 85-95% phosphorus and > 90% nitrogen, overcoming conventional methods. ® Compact: Less space, ideal for urban areas or existing plants. The invention relates to a device that prevents the sedimentation of sludge and obstructions (biofilm < 3 mm). THE INVENTION CAN BE USED IN NEW TREATMENT PLANTS AND CAN BE INTEGRATED INTO EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURES USE OF MUNICIPAL AND INDUSTRIAL PLANTS THAT REQUIRE STRICT NUTRIENT LIMITS AND USE OF WATER REUSE PROJECTS IN AGRICULTURE, PUBLIC SERVICES OR DISCHARGE TO RECEIVING BODIES Innovation: It combines the Submerged Fixed Bed, the control of redox zones and a hydraulic design suitable for efficient treatment, reducing energy and operational costs. ® A descending-ascending ordered flow to create differentiated redox zones. AND SYNERGY BETWEEN SPECIALISED BACTERIAL CONSORTIA IN EACH STAGE ® COMPACT DESIGN AND LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION IDEAL FOR URBAN OR INDUSTRIAL PLANTS
